About Tracy Rose

Infinitely more than outstanding drumming technique
Elementary school music class. Junior high school rock groups. High school marching band. College jazz groups. Tracy’s early life history is virtually defined by a passionate commitment to drumming excellence. Today, it’s that same commitment that drives his performances and dictates his instructional approach.

A Ludwig Drum Competition winner, Tracy’s distinctive drum styling and versatility reflect years of study under drum artists such as Master Drum Instructor Chuck Brown, (mentor to famed solo performer Terry Bozzio of Missing Persons, David Garibaldi of Tower of Power, and Michael Shrieve of Santana). Other of his tutors include Narada Michael Walden (Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Jeff Beck), Will Kennedy (Yellowjackets), and Mingo Lewis (Al Dimeola).

Tracy’s drumming talents have contributed to the success of diverse undertakings, including those associated with musical groups, TV programs, and corporate videos, as well as with numerous artists’ CDs and demonstration projects.
